KGM installed a new roof over 20 light industrial units at the Barnwell Business Park on the outskirts of Cambridge.
The roof was installed on top of the old system to eradicate leaks, increase the thermal efficiency of the building which in turn potentially then decreases the running costs of the building.
We also installed new translucent rooflights, positioned above existing ones, to ensure natural daylight still came into the building.
KGM was the main contractor on the job and was appointed by Cambridge City Council.
The work involved installing new Tata Panels and Profiles HPS200 Ultra coated trapezoidal profiled weathering sheets, with 220mm thick Crown Factoryclad 40 insulation quilt in cavity.
They were formed by galvanised steel support bar and bracket system, fixed through the existing roof sheets into the existing support system.
The roof sheets we installed on this project came complete with an up to 40 year guarantee.
Barnwell Business Park is a place on the east of Cambridge and is home to a large number of businesses including energy companies, software development companies, letting agents, caterers and electricians.
The units range in size from 550 square feet to 1,242 square feet.
